How to use Tesla license plate backgrounds

  1. 01

    Choose a background

    Pick a design from the gallery or create one with AI. Try your plate number and color in the editor.

  2. 02

    Download the PNG

    The download contains only your background. Keep the supplied filename and .png extension; preview numbers are not included.

  3. 03

    Copy to USB

    Create a LicensePlate folder at the root of your USB drive. Add up to 10 backgrounds, then connect the drive to a data-capable USB port.

  4. 04

    Apply in your Tesla

    Open Toybox → Paint Shop → Customize → License Plate. Choose your image under Background, then set the number and text color in the car.

    Below 500 KB

  • Filename

    ASCII letters and numbers; at most 31 characters including .png.
