Design Tesla wraps from your AI assistant

Tesla Wrap Designer runs a remote MCP server at https://tesla-wrap.design/mcp. Connect it to ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or another MCP client, and the assistant can pick the right Paint Shop template, search public designs and save wrap projects to your account.

What the connection can do

There are six tools: list_vehicle_models, get_wrap_prompt, search_gallery, create_project_from_image, generate_with_credits and get_project.

get_wrap_prompt only prepares the prompt the site uses; it does not create an image. Only generate_with_credits uses AI credits, the same amount as a generation on the website. Projects are private unless you ask for a share link.

Connect in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT on the web, add a custom MCP server. Use Tesla Wrap Designer as the name, https://tesla-wrap.design/mcp as the server URL and OAuth as the authentication. Sign in with Google, then enable the connector in your chat.

Workspace settings may hide custom servers. If you do not see the option, ask your workspace admin, and follow OpenAI's current instructions if the screens have changed.

Connect in Claude

Open Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector with the URL https://tesla-wrap.design/mcp. Finish the Google sign-in, then turn the connector on for your conversation. Organization accounts may need an admin to allow it.

If sign-in fails, reconnect from Claude. Never paste passwords, access tokens or authorization codes into a chat.

Codex and other clients

Any client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth can connect to the same URL.

Clients that cannot complete OAuth can use a personal token from your account page. It is tied to your Google account and shown only once.

Try a read-only request first

"List the Tesla Paint Shop templates and help me choose the right Model Y version. Don't generate anything yet."

"Find public camo wrap designs for a 2024 Model 3."

"Prepare a blue-and-white wrap prompt and ask me before you spend any credits. Keep the project private."

Getting the wrap onto your car

The assistant cannot send a wrap to your Tesla. Open the project link, check it in the 3D preview and export the PNG.

Then upload it in the Tesla app (Creations → Wrap → Upload) or copy it to the Wraps folder on a USB drive, and apply it in Toybox → Paint Shop.
