Tesla wrap PNG checker

Paint Shop silently ignores files that break its rules, and a wrap made on the wrong template lands crooked on the car. Pick your Tesla, drop in your wrap, fix the file and check the seams on a 3D model before you upload it.

Check the seams in 3D before you upload

A file can pass every Paint Shop rule and still look wrong on the car. Each Tesla model and trim has its own UV template, so a design drawn for a different template puts stripes, logos and text on the wrong panels or splits them at a seam.

  1. Pick the exact model and year of your car, then drop in the wrap.
  2. Rotate the 3D car and follow every line across the door gaps, the hood-to-fender edge, the bumpers and the wheel arches. A line that jumps or breaks at a seam is off the template.
  3. Switch to the template overlay. Pink lines show the official panel edges; anything in the darkened area is never printed on the car.
  4. If the panels do not line up, start again on the right template in the editor rather than stretching the image.

What Paint Shop requires

  • A real PNG file, no larger than 1 MB.
  • Each side between 512 and 1024 pixels. Use your template size: 1024×1024 for Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X; 1024×768 for Cybertruck.
  • A file name of at most 30 characters using letters, numbers, spaces, underscores or dashes.
  • Up to 10 wraps from the Tesla App (Creations → Wrap → Upload, app 4.59.0+) and up to 10 from USB, in a root-level folder named Wraps.

Step-by-step transfer instructions are in the Paint Shop guide and the troubleshooting checklist.

Questions

Why does my Tesla not show my wrap?

Most wraps fail one of the file rules: the image is not a real PNG, is over 1 MB, has a side outside 512–1024 pixels, or has a file name longer than 30 characters or with unsupported characters. For USB, the file must also sit directly in a folder named Wraps at the root of the drive.

How can I see if my wrap lines up with the panels?

Drop it into this checker and rotate the 3D model of your Tesla. Lines and text should continue across door gaps and the hood edge. The template overlay shows the official panel outlines on top of your image.

Why is my wrap misaligned or stretched on the car?

It was made on a different template or resized to a different shape. Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck, and often the trims within one model, use different templates.

Can I check a wrap on my phone?

Yes. The checker, the fix and the 3D preview work in a phone browser. Save the fixed PNG to your phone, then upload it in the Tesla App under Creations → Wrap → Upload.

Does this tool upload my image?

No. The check, the fix and the 3D preview all run in your browser; the file never leaves your device.

Can it fix a design made for the wrong Tesla?

No. If the image does not match your template, the panels will be misplaced on the car. Start again from the template for your exact model and year in the editor.
