Cybertruck Wrap: Cost, Colors and a Free 3D Preview
The Cybertruck leaves the factory in bare stainless steel, so a wrap is the only way to give it a color. That means vinyl or colored PPF on the real truck, or a digital Paint Shop wrap that recolors the 3D Cybertruck on the touchscreen. This page gives the reported prices with sources, the single Cybertruck template, and the free way to preview a color before paying an installer.
Tesla Wrap Designer (tesla-wrap.design) is a free online Tesla wrap designer and gallery: it shows any Cybertruck wrap on a 3D truck, exports the 1024×768 Paint Shop PNG, and hosts free community Cybertruck designs.
The short answer
- Professional vinyl color change
- About $5,000–$8,000 installed in the US. The Cybertruck has more and larger flat panels than a Model Y, and shops charge for the extra film and the steel prep.
- Tesla’s own wrap
- $6,000–$6,500 satin PPF from late 2023, $4,500 vinyl from late 2024, removed from the Tesla Shop in August 2026. It is no longer sold.
- Paint Shop digital wrap
- Free. Download a PNG or design one, preview it in 3D, load it in the truck.
How much does a Cybertruck wrap cost?
Prices are reported US figures from the sources listed below; a shop quote depends on the film, finish and local labor. The Cybertruck is a full-size pickup with large flat panels, so it sits at the top of the general car-wrap ranges, and the stainless steel needs careful prep so the film sits flat.
| Option | Reported price (US) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Full color-change vinyl wrap, professional | About $5,000–$8,000 | Flat panels are quick to lay but there are many of them; matte and satin finishes cost more than gloss. |
| Premium finishes (chrome, color-shift, textured) | Above $8,000 | More labor and more expensive film. |
| Full-body paint protection film (PPF) | About $6,000–$10,000 | Clear PPF keeps the steel look and hides fingerprints; colored PPF changes the color. |
| Tesla factory wrap | $6,000–$6,500 satin PPF (Nov 2023), $4,500 vinyl (late 2024); removed in August 2026 | Installed at selected Tesla service centers; up to eleven colors at its peak. |
| Partial wrap (roof, tonneau, accents) | About $1,500–$3,000 | Roof, sail panels and bed accents are the usual choices. |
| DIY vinyl | Material about $1,000–$1,500 for the whole truck | The flat panels make the Cybertruck the most DIY-friendly Tesla, but the edges and the bed are still demanding. |
| Wrap removal | About $500–$1,000 | Three to four hours of labor; film baked onto stainless steel costs more. |
| Paint Shop digital wrap (screen only) | Free | A PNG on your touchscreen; AI generation on Tesla Wrap Designer uses credits. |
Tesla’s own Cybertruck wrap launched in November 2023 as satin colored paint protection film at $6,000–$6,500 installed (clear satin PPF $5,000), grew to about eleven colors in 2024, switched to $4,500 vinyl in late 2024 and was removed from the Tesla Shop in August 2026 together with the Model 3 and Model Y wraps. Independent installers and DIY kits are the remaining options for a physical wrap.

Preview a Cybertruck wrap in 3D before you pay for vinyl
A Cybertruck wrap is a big purchase and the truck shows every color on huge flat panels. Settle the color and placement on a 3D Cybertruck for free, then take the screenshots to the installer, or keep it as a Paint Shop wrap.
1
Pick the Cybertruck template
Choose the template for your exact car: there is one Cybertruck template for every trim, and it is 1024×768 rather than 1024×1024. A wrap made for the wrong template lines up wrong on the doors and bumpers.
2
Download or design a wrap
Download a free Cybertruck design from the gallery, or open the editor and paint, upload an image or describe a design for AI to generate. The editor shows the result on a 3D Cybertruck while you work.
3
Check it on the 3D car
Rotate the 3D preview to check the hood, both sides and the rear. If you plan a vinyl wrap, screenshot the angles you want to show the installer.
4
Export the PNG and load it in Paint Shop
Export the 1024×1024 PNG (under 1 MB). Upload it in the Tesla App under Creations → Wrap → Upload, or copy it to a USB folder named Wraps, then apply it in Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps. It changes the car on the screen only.
Which Cybertruck template do you need?
Tesla publishes one Paint Shop template for the Cybertruck. Unlike the Model 3 and Model Y templates it is 1024×768 pixels, so a square file is stretched; the editor exports the right size automatically.
Popular Cybertruck wrap styles
From what Cybertruck owners download on Tesla Wrap Designer: the flat panels favor solid colors, camouflage and large geometric graphics over fine detail.
Matte and satin solid colors
Matte black, satin white and military green previews lead; they are also the colors Tesla’s own program sold most.
Camouflage and tactical
Digital camo, desert tan and stencil graphics suit the angular body better than on any other Tesla.
Cyberpunk and neon
Dark bases with neon edges and circuit patterns that follow the panel creases.
Two-tone and accents
A colored roof or sail panel over bare steel is the most common partial-wrap look.
Cybertruck in the download data
In the last 30 complete days (2026-10-06 to 2026-11-05, UTC), 0.7% of recorded Paint Shop wrap download requests on Tesla Wrap Designer were for a Cybertruck.
The gallery currently lists 88 public Cybertruck designs.
Cybertruck wrap questions
How much does it cost to wrap a Tesla Cybertruck?
A professional full color-change vinyl wrap is reported at about $5,000–$8,000 in the US, more for chrome or color-shift film, and full-body PPF at about $6,000–$10,000. Tesla’s own Cybertruck wrap was $6,000–$6,500 as satin PPF, then $4,500 as vinyl, and was discontinued in August 2026. A Paint Shop digital wrap is free.
Why is the Cybertruck Paint Shop template 1024×768?
Tesla’s Cybertruck template is 1024×768 pixels instead of the 1024×1024 used for the other models. The editor on Tesla Wrap Designer exports the correct size; a square PNG will be stretched on the truck.
Can I wrap a Cybertruck myself?
The flat stainless panels make it the most DIY-friendly Tesla, and precut kits exist. The edges, the bed and the tonneau still take practice, and the steel must be clean and free of fingerprints before the film goes on.
Does a Paint Shop wrap change my Cybertruck’s real paint?
No. A Paint Shop wrap is a PNG that recolors the 3D Cybertruck on the touchscreen and in the Tesla app. The paint and body are untouched, and you can switch back at any time.
Can I still buy a wrap from Tesla for my Cybertruck?
Not as of August 2026. Tesla removed the Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck wrap products from its online shop; the last price was $4,000 for a vinyl wrap on the Model 3 and Model Y. Independent installers and DIY kits remain available.
Can I use the 3D preview to plan a real vinyl wrap?
Yes, as a visual mock-up. The Paint Shop PNG is a 1024×1024 screen texture, so a wrap shop will still produce its own print-ready files and measurements, but the preview settles colors, placement and proportions before you pay.
Is Tesla Wrap Designer free for Cybertruck wraps?
Browsing, downloading free Cybertruck designs, the editor and the 3D preview are free. AI generation uses credits, and some creator designs are marked premium.
