Paint Shop turns your Tesla's on-screen car into a canvas, and the holidays are the best excuse to use it. These ten ideas are written as prompts you can paste straight into the AI generator in the wrap editor, or use as a brief if you prefer to design by hand.
Each wrap only changes the car picture on your screen and in the Tesla app; it doesn't touch the real paint. Switch back any time.
10 Christmas wrap ideas
- Classic gift wrap. "Deep red body wrapped like a present, wide gold ribbon running over the roof and down both sides, bow on the hood."
- Candy cane. "White body with diagonal red candy-cane stripes, glossy finish." Diagonal stripes look great on the long doors of a Model Y.
- Ugly Christmas sweater. "Knitted sweater pattern in red, green and white with reindeer, snowflakes and pine trees."
- Winter night. "Midnight blue body with falling snowflakes and a silver crescent moon on the hood."
- Gingerbread. "Gingerbread-brown body with white icing trim around the windows and gumdrop buttons along the sides."
- Santa's sleigh. "Red body with gold sleigh trim along the sills, a Santa silhouette and reindeer across both doors."
- Evergreen. "Dark pine green with a subtle snowflake pattern and gold pinstripes." Understated enough to keep through winter.
- String lights. "Matte black body with a strand of multicolored Christmas lights looping around the whole car."
- Nordic pattern. "White body with a red Scandinavian knit band across the doors and small snowflake motifs."
- Holiday racing livery. "Racing livery in red, white and green with the number 25 on the doors and holly sponsor-style decals."
Tips for a wrap that reads on the screen
- Go bold. Paint Shop shows the car small. Big shapes and strong contrast beat fine patterns.
- Keep text big and on one panel. Small words disappear, and text that crosses a door gap breaks up.
- Check the 3D preview. Look at the side and rear before exporting; that is how the car appears in the app.
- Pick your exact template. A Model Y (2025+) wrap won't line up on a 2022 Model Y. Not sure? See the Model Y template guide or the Model 3 template guide.
Make it and load it
- Open the editor for your car: Model Y, Model 3 or Cybertruck.
- Paste a prompt into the AI generator, or paint it yourself, and check it in 3D.
- Export the PNG.
- Add it from Tesla App 4.59.0+ (Creations → Wrap → Upload) or a USB folder named
Wraps, then choose it in Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps.
Want something to start from? Browse the wrap gallery and edit any design. If your wrap doesn't appear in the car, check it with the PNG checker.
