The Model 3 is the second most popular Tesla for Paint Shop wraps, with about a third of all downloads in our public gallery. The most common reason a Model 3 wrap looks wrong on the car is simple: it was made for the other Model 3.

All three are 1024×1024 PNG files. The refreshed Model 3 changed the front bumper, headlights and tail lights, so the panels sit in different places on the flat template. The 2024+ Performance adds its own bumpers and spoiler, and gets its own template.

How to tell which Model 3 you have

  • Model year: the 10th character of the VIN. P = 2023, R = 2024, S = 2025. Find it in the Tesla app or under Controls → Software.
  • Lights: the refreshed car has slim headlights and C-shaped tail lights; the original has larger, rounded headlights.
  • 3D check: open the Model 3 editor, switch templates in the vehicle menu and compare the 3D car with yours.

Design tip: the Model 3's doors are shorter than the Model Y's, so long text can break across the door gap. Keep words inside one panel and check the side view in 3D.

Download or design

To download, open the gallery for your template, check the vehicle name on the design and download the PNG. To design your own, open the Model 3 editor, choose your template, then paint, add images or text, or generate a design with AI. Export the PNG when it looks right in 3D.

Put it on your Model 3

  • Tesla App 4.59.0 or later: Creations → Wrap → Upload. See the step-by-step app guide.
  • USB: put the PNG in a folder named Wraps at the root of an exFAT or FAT32 drive.
  • In the car: Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps.

If the car doesn't list your wrap, check the file with the PNG checker or the troubleshooting checklist.
